Example of projects

New Wildlife Sites

The creation of The National Forest is only possible because of the range of people and organisations who work together to make it happen. These are just a few examples of what has been achieved so far.

The National Forest planting schemes

The National Forest planting Scheme have been invaluable in creating large areas of new habitats for wildlife. Two of the winners of the 2006/07 Tender Scheme demonstrate how the scheme can be used to create habitats that are not only valuable in their own right, but also link in with the surrounding landscape to benefit wildlife across a much wider area.

Partnership Projects

As well as joining with partners to create new habitats and places for wildlife, the National Forest Company also works with others to establish new and successful projects that help wildlife across the entire Forest, and beyond.
