Poppy Wood

View of the Poppy Wood near Melbourne, within the National ForestA unique woodland where you can glimpse the future of The National Forest has been created near Melbourne, on the northern edge of the Forest.

The woodland features six demonstration areas where different species of trees are being grown to show their potential for timber throughout the wider Forest.

Open House

The outside of the new Youth Hostel in The National ForestConstruction work is almost complete and bookings are now being taken as the brand new Youth Hostel in The National Forest prepares to open its doors.

Mid December will see the first guests cross the threshold into YHA National Forest – a light and airy, environmentally-friendly building that can accommodate up to 74 guests.
