Just the ticket
The new service, which has been dubbed the Forest Forager, will improve access to CONKERS and to other sites around the heart of the Forest. The Forager will run hourly on Sundays and on bank holidays from Ashby to Norris Hill, Moira, Donisthorpe, CONKERS, Overseal, Swadlincote, Woodville and back to Ashby. The service is being provided by the West Leicestershire Rural Transport Partnership with support from Leicestershire County Council, the Countryside Agency, the National Forest Company and CONKERS. The National Forest Company intends to make transport a priority issue in the coming year. The intention is to bring all of the different people and organisations concerned with transport together to look at both needs and opportunities in the Forest. The work will cover road, rail, buses, cycling and walking. For details of bus services, including the Forest Forager, ring Traveline on 0870 6082608. |
