My WordThe National Forest proved to be quite an inspiration to wordsmiths who took part in a recent competition on BBC Radio Leicester's The Green Light programme. The show's presenter Colin Green set listeners the task of composing a limerickstyle poem for the Forest. The winning writer was Dorothy Tomlinson, of Peatling Magna, who wrote: There's a wood in the heart of the nation, Dorothy's effort won her a National Forest Adopt a Tree - worth £125 - plus a range of Forest goodies. |
