CLIMBing the trees ....
The first trees have been planted through a new partnership with Climb, the charity for children living with inherited metabolic diseases, based in Cheshire. Although the charity already offers a number of schemes to celebrate and remember individuals, it felt that planting a tree in The National Forest was an excellent way to help both the work of the charity, and improve the environment for the future of all children. The scheme has been welcomed as a very special way to provide a long lasting reminder of a special person, family or event.
'People bring all kinds of memories and hopes when they plant trees in the Forest,' commented Angela Ashmore, Marketing Officer , National Forest Company. 'It is a very special part of our work that individuals get involved in the Forest in this way.'
