Fresh Face For Forest Tourism

Penny WilkinsonPenny Wilkinson is the new Tourism and Promotions Officer at the National Forest Company (NFC), joining the Company from Rutland County Council, where she worked as Communications Officer. Her new post brings Penny back to old stomping grounds, as she was previously with Leicester Promotions before her move to Rutland.

Penny will work with partners in Leicestershire, Staffordshire and Derbyshire to promote the Forest and encourage people to visit, experience and enjoy this forest in the making.

Penny said: “I am thrilled to be able to contribute to this ambitious project. The National Forest is changing and enhancing the landscape for both the environment and local people and it is a great thing to be involved in.

“I will be working to develop the tourism strategy within The National Forest, and to help the many visitor facilities and attractions to take advantage of their location within the Forest area.”
