The National Forest is a big hit with Minister for Nature Conservation, Ben Bradshaw. Since he took on Ministerial responsibility for the Forest within its sponsoring Department, Defra (Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs), the team at the National Forest Company (NFC) has welcomed Mr Bradshaw to the Forest on two occasions over the last six months.
A second study into the socio-economic impacts of The National Forest confirms the catalytic effect that its creation is having towards improving the well-being of the area.
