BIG arted ALREWAS

The picturesque village of Alrewas, in the heart of The National Forest, is staging its first-ever Arts Festival this September. The ambitious project aims to showcase the wealth of artistic talent in the village. Dozens of local artists, musicians, actors, writers, poets, storytellers – many of them professionals – will be performing, exhibiting and running have-a-go workshops for the public.

The week-long festival will take place from September 16-23 and will include classical concerts, a rock ‘n’ rap night, jazz and folk sessions, dances, a drama production, poetry and pints, a film evening, culminating in a grand musical finale on Walkfield on the final Saturday night. The festival will be launched with the unveiling of a pebble mosaic, created by local schoolchildren, and a Big Art event, at which passers-by can discover their hidden artistic talents.
