Core of the Community

A celebration in Ellistown to mark national Apple Day in October was the launch for a project to give the village its own orchard.

The British Trust for Conservation Volunteers and Viridor Waste Management are working together on the project and plan to create the community woodland orchard on the site of the former Ellistown colliery.
