Plant a Tree

Children enjoying a National Forest Plant a Tree eventBe part of The National Forest by planting a tree with us!

Plant a Tree in The National Forest makes a great gift, and is an ideal way to ‘do your bit’ and be part of this amazing environmental project. For Christmas, birthdays, anniversaries, new job or retirement, a new baby or to remember a loved one, planting a tree is one of the most rewarding things you can do.

For £25 you can come and plant your tree in the Forest, and you will be able to return whenever you wish to see the trees growing and the woodland developing as a home for many kinds of wildlife.

We hold several tree planting events throughout the season, between November and March, and you (and the recipient if the Plant a Tree is a gift) will be invited to one of these. On arrival at the site, you choose an oak, ash or birch ‘whip’ (tiny tree), pick up your spade and plant your tree. Help is on hand if you need it, otherwise it’s all yours!

Why not make a day of it and explore some of the other woodlands and attractions in the Forest while you are here?

By purchasing a Plant a Tree, you will also receive a personalised certificate and copies of the twice-yearly magazine ‘Forest Scene’ for a year.

Come and join us in creating a new landscape and a new Forest for the nation. For more information, or to buy online, visit www.nationalforest.org/giftshop. Alternatively email or contact the National Forest Company on 01283 551211.
