Forest Timber for Forest Signs

Using green oak grown in The National Forest, a range of shelters, panels and benches, listening posts and touch screen kiosks have been installed at Conkers Discovery Centre, Ashby Tourist Information Centre, Poppy Wood and Twycross Zoo. They are the first of the new information points and bespoke furniture forming part of the innovative National Forest Visitor Infrastructure Project, funded by East Midlands Tourism through its Public Realm Challenge Fund. Look out for other features throughout the Forest in the near future.
