Dry Stone Walling at Billa Barra

Andrew Brown- Jackson working with BTCV expert volunteers to build a dry stone wall

The landscaping for the David Nash Noon Column on Billa Barra features a brand new, traditionally constructed dry-stone wall. Local man and international dry-stone walling champion Andrew Brown- Jackson worked with BTCV expert volunteers to build the new 6m long wall over a snowy March weekend.
The 3ft high wall is made of local granite from Bardon quarry, and is designed to run parallel to the shadow cast by the Column.
