Coming of age: National Forest Strategy 2014 - 2024 launched
Over one hundred people attended the celebratory launch of the new Strategy and next decade of The National Forest, 2014 - 2024.
Spirits were undampened at the tenth anniversary National Forest Wood Fair
Two thousand visitors enjoyed the National Forest Wood Fair at Beacon Hill Country Park, Leicestershire, on Bank Holiday Monday. Despite the rain, spirits remained undampened and everyone enjoyed the quality wood products, lumberjack displays, chainsaw carvers, horse logging and tree climbing.

It was a blessing it hadn't rained in the night. But 6am arrived and the first spots started. I bravely tweeted "Come and walk the National Forest Way in the dry!" - referring to the miniature version of the route we had laid out in the shelter of our marquee - and set off to the site.
