This summer, festival-goers will be able to experience the world premiere of the outdoor theatre companion to the enchanting, bestselling book The Lost Words, taking place at the major new festival Timber, which celebrates the transformative impact of forests upon people and places.

Major new festival exploring the transformative impact of forests has revealed the programme of artists, performers and areas festival-goers will adventure through for its inaugural edition this July. Highlights include the world premiere of Seek, Find, Speak, the outdoor theatre companion to The Lost Words, music headliners Jane Weaver and This Is The Kit, a keynote address from Stuart Maconie, the English festival premiere of Jony Easterby’s new interactive performance Tree and Wood, and the greenfield festival premiere of Luke Jerram’s Museum of the Moon.

New National Forest Festival 'Timber' first wave programme

Major new festival exploring the transformative impact of forests has started to reveal its programme of artists, performers and areas festival-goers will adventure through for its inaugural edition this July. Highlights include music headliners Jane Weaver and This Is The Kit, a keynote address from Stuart Maconie, the English festival premiere of Jony Easterby’s new interactive performance Tree and Wood, and the greenfield festival premiere of Luke Jerram’s Museum of the Moon.

Forest Holidays team builds bug hotels with The National Forest Company

Forest Holidays’ staff recently took part in a Woodland Management Day with their partners, the National Forest Company. The partnership was forged six months ago between the two companies who are both based in Moira, Leicestershire, with the common aim of helping to ensure that our forests are healthy, sustainable and wildlife-friendly environments, protected today and for future generations.
