Appointments to the Board of The National Forest Company

Tony Hams has a strong background in planning and sustainable development issues. He is the current Chair of Derbyshire Wildlife Trust and a former Chair of the Peak District National Park. He is also a Board Member of Natural England until 2011. 

David Nicholls has set up a new charity that aims to promote local wildlife and wild places – “NatureSpot”. He was a former Chief Executive of Groundwork Leicester and Leicestershire. He has a life-long passion for wildlife and the natural environment.

Huw Irranca-Davies also announced the re-appointment of Judith Webb, Robin Pellew and Susan Warren to the National Forest Company Board for another term of three years.

Robin Pellew is a former Chief Executive for National Trust for Scotland and WWF-UK (World Wildlife Fund). Robin is an independent heritage/visitor attraction consultant.

Susan Warren is the Programme Development Manager for Groundwork South West. Susan was recently appointed to the Board of the South Downs National Park Authority. She was formerly Head of Sustainable Cities, Forum for the Future.

Judith Webb runs her own business, JW Associates. She is a Non-executive, Forestry Commissioner; a Secretary of State appointee to the Cotswold Conservation Board; and an independent member of the Joint Nature Conservation Committee. She is Chair of the England Woodland Biodiversity Group; West Midlands Woodland and Forestry Forum; and the Deer Initiative’s Best Practice Group.
