David Taylor tree planting

Leicestershire County Council, who own the bank on which it will grow, sourced the tree and prepared the ground. The event was organised by Sophie Churchill, Chief Executive of the National Forest Company, in recognition of David Taylor's long-term support of The National Forest. On a bright spring morning it was Naomi Nash, David Taylor's granddaughter, who did much of the planting.

Also present were other family members: Susan Taylor and Margaret Martin, David's sisters; daughters Rachel Nash, Jessica Southwart, Catherine Taylor, Sarah Taylor; son in law and grandson Jonathan and Henry Nash; Councillors Michael Button, Jane Manton, John Petty and Anthony Prime; and Phil Ellis from David Taylor's constituency office.

The tree planting is one of a number of events and projects which are planned to commemorate the contribution of David Taylor to his constituency and to The National Forest.
