Primo IT signs up to support The National Forest

Monday, 18th January 2016

Primo IT specialises in the supply of IT hardware, consumables and peripherals to corporate, government and education establishments, sourcing all that their clients require including the difficult to find items. They also supply GreenPrint, a system that can help any business from large corporates to home-based and small offices, measure, manage and reduce their print activity, which can reduce costs, use of resources and the business’s carbon footprint.

Primo IT is supporting The National Forest by creating a woodland compartment in a new Forest site at Nanpantan Road, in Charnwood.

Mick Sloan, Managing Director of Primo IT, said: “By becoming aware of our own carbon footprint through tools such as GreenPrint, we recognised that we needed to do more to combat it. Many of us live in The National Forest and we are very proud of the area we live in and know that we’re lucky to have all this beautiful countryside around us. We wanted to do something that would last for generations and are delighted to partner with the National Forest Company and plant, in the first instance, 150 trees. I very much hope that this first batch of trees will be the first of many.”

Lynne Richards, Head of Fundraising for the National Forest Company said: “We’re delighted to be working with Primo IT. Their use of and promotion of GreenPrint indicates the value they place on green practices within the work place, which is completely in tune with us. We’re looking forward to planting trees with them and growing the partnership in future years.”
