Primo IT Planting

On one of the last tree planting days of the season, corporate supporters of The National Forest braved the cold weather and snow to plant trees at one of the National Forest Company’s (NFC) newest woodland sites.

Located in the beautiful Charnwood area of Leicestershire, the new woodland follows an unusual design with trees being planted in a series of compartments and woodland groves.

Supporters have generously sponsored the planting of their own compartment of trees and joined NFC staff on a cold Friday morning to celebrate their involvement.  Staff from COBA Flooring (based in Fleckney, Leicestershire), Prescient Power (based in Ashby de la Zouch), F C Cartons (Castle Donington) and Primo IT (Ibstock) all took time out of the office to help plant up the site.

Chris Stanley, Sales Director at COBA Flooring commented on their sponsorship; "It is an excellent opportunity for us to support a local project, playing a small part in carving out a better future for our landscape, wildlife and for the community as a whole. It’s such a worthwhile project and we are proud to be associated with it."

Lynne Richards, Head of Fundraising for the NFC commented, "It was great to see some of our corporate supporters planting trees for this project - it really will be a special woodland and a great one to plant in our 25th Anniversary year."

In 2016 the National Forest Company is celebrating 25 years of forest creation and will be marking this important milestone with a series of events and activities throughout the year.
