J.A. Ball New Homes
Coalville-based house builder J A Ball New Homes Ltd has teamed up with the National Forest Company (NFC) to 'plantatree' in The National Forest for every new home it builds.
The completion of a new house is, in effect, the creation of a new home in The National Forest, either for newcomers or for existing residents. As generations of people live in the house, the tree will grow and develop along with them.

Conscious that the construction industry contributes its share of carbon towards the problems of climate change, by planting trees J A Ball New Homes Ltd will be off-setting some of the carbon produced in the construction of each new house. Along with continuing improvements in the energy efficiency of new houses, tree planting is a positive action and raises awareness about the challenge of climate change and how to address it.
Gavin Jones, Chief Executive of J A Ball New Homes Ltd said:
“It is becoming increasingly apparent that we all need to do our bit to help the environment. Here at J A Ball New Homes we know that the processes involved in house building contribute to issues we face through global warming, and with this in mind we are very pleased to be working with the National Forest Company to help combat this problem for future generations. We hope that this campaign will also encourage those who live in these houses to be conscious of climate change, and how they might limit their own impact on the environment in the future.”
