PHS Direct is supporting The National Forest by helping to create a woodland within the Forest.

The project involves planting a 6 hectare wood on land at Overseal in Derbyshire, just a few miles from the PHS Direct operations centre, with the option to further extend this project in due course. PHS Direct's scale means that we are able to fund the scheme by making a contribution to The National Forest for every box of paper it sells, and will result in 5,000 trees being planted every year for at least three years creating a wonderful woodland that we will all be able to look back on for decades to come.

We have chosen a development like this within the National Forest as it is, fundamentally, a local scheme that is both meaningful and a tangible representation for our staff, suppliers and customers. As the majority of our staff at our Dordon operations centre live within 10 miles of the Forest they will be able to directly see and enjoy the impact of PHS Direct's sponsorship with their families for many years to come. In addition we are able to make a clear and material demonstration of our commitment in this area to our business partners in events such as tree planting."

PHS Direct, part of the PHS Group, is a specialist supplier providing a complete range of workplace consumables throughout the commercial marketplace, including education, healthcare, retail, catering and leisure. Our products range from toilet tissue to bags, soap to wipes and paper hand towels to hand sanitisers. We distribute across the UK from a central distribution point in Staffordshire, close to The National Forest.
