Standard Soap Company

Standard Soap is one of the UK's most recognised contract manufacturers of personal care and toiletries. During the past 12 months our site has been and continues to be heavily involved in the development of Organic toiletries as an alternative to synthetically derived detergent products. As a positive consequence, we have gained the Soil Association (SA) accreditation. The SA is a well respected body that polices the development, manufacturing and sale of Organic products in the UK using their comprehensive standards as the benchmark.

We felt that our green credentials in obtaining this accreditation would be underpinned further by collaborating with The National Forest and its ambitions for the environment. Our company does operate within the boundaries of The National Forest so we saw the tie up between our two businesses as a real positive announcement for the employees, our customers and the local community / neighbourhood.
Staff joined members of The National Forest Team at Poppy Wood, Melbourne.
David Guttridge said about the day: "A rewarding experience for the representatives of Standard Soap who had the opportunity to dig deep for the environment, adding to a wonderful project that is The National Forest. The concept of the Forest is a fantastic idea and demonstrates that nature and mankind can work together, and be mutually beneficial and reciprocal for each other".
