TR Register
The TR Register classic sports car club chose to plant 50 trees in The National Forest to mark the retirement of their chairman Ian Evans. The trees will also help to offset the carbon produced when the club's unique TS2 sports car makes a celebratory tour of all the club's branches starting 21 April 2007.

TR Register Chairman Ian Evans said:
"At TR Register we enjoy our cars, but as a responsible classic sports car organisation we recognise that some people may be concerned about the impact of the cars on the environment. Many of them achieve excellent miles per gallon, comparable with - if not better than - many modern cars, but if we can work towards neutralising their carbon emissions by planting trees - which are a joy in themselves - we can also enhance the environment and leave something for our children and grandchildren. The TR Register has 50 branches throughout the country, which makes our contribution to The National Forest in the heart of the Midlands, even more relevant."
