Leave a legacy

Your legacy in the National Forest

Leaving a gift in your will helps us to continue to care for trees, create habitats for wildlife, develop forest experiences for people to enjoy, and supports children to learn and understand the forest so that there is always a next generation to take care of it. Every gift made to the National Forest makes a huge difference.

A world of possibilities

An unrestricted gift (one with no limitations on how it is used) made to the National Forest, is the most useful as it allows us to direct your money where it will have the most impact. However, if there is an area of our work close to your heart, please don't hesitate to get in touch and we'll be happy to discuss if we're able to accept a gift for the purpose you have in mind.

A gift of land

We are sometimes able to accept gifts of land if the land is within the boundary of the National Forest area. Please contact us if this is something that you would like to discuss further.

How to leave a gift

Here at the National Forest Company, we recommend getting professional advice from a solicitor to help you write your will. They will be able to advise you on what things you will need to consider and the different ways you can make a gift.

Your solicitor will ask you for the name, address and registered charity number of the charity or charities you wish to support. The National Forest Company details are:
