James Latham has always recognised the importance of environmental considerations and believes timber and wood products, when managed through best practice, to be the ultimate sustainable and recyclable material. Over the next three years the company is pleased to support the creation and management of three hectares of new forest at Nanpantan, in The National Forest.

H K Wentworth Limited has its headquarters and UK manufacturing site inside The National Forest at Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire and is supporting the forest by planting trees in a hectare of land at Poppy Woods. In doing so, it hopes to help transform the landscape and reduce carbon dioxide in Britain's atmosphere.

Reabrook Ltd, based in Moira, has agreed to create new woodland just up the road from where its employees live and work. 42,000 trees will be planted, an attractive mix of oak, ash and birch, creating over 50 acres of new woodland. This will form part of the 90 acre development of new habitats, including parkland, grassland and wetland.

After creating a new wetland habitat at Rosliston Forestry Centre, Rolls-Royce are now involved in a major environmental education partnership project which works annually with many thousands of visitors, including school pupils and community groups.

Fisher German LLP sponsor the new National Forest Way long distance trail. This well-known firm of land agents has a long association with the Forest, and their support has enabled the National Forest Company and its local authority partners to carry out the installation of footpath infrastructure for nearly 75 miles through Staffordshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire.

NFU Mutual in Ashby de la Zouch is delighted to be affinity partners of The National Forest. As part of their commitment they will plant a 1 ha woodland as part of a larger scheme at Packington to the south east of Ashby de la Zouch, right in the heart of The National Forest
