Brief Description:
16 ha lake surrounded by woodland, wetland and meadow adjoining the Trent and Mersey Canal.
Opening Times:
8am until dusk
Parking:
Uneven surfaced car park next to water’s edge and to information centre and toilets.
NB. There is no barrier at the water’s edge by the path so care should be taken.
Trails:
Compacted gravel around the lake and through woods. Flat and fairly easy. Canal towpath narrow in places.
Facilities:
Information centre (weekends only); picnic tables (not wheelchair accessible); adapted toilets; children’s play area; interpretation boards.
Features of Interest:
Wildlife on lake and canal; narrowboats; small information centre.
