Brief Description:
New 60 ha country park with woodland, lakes and trails on the edge of Heather.
Opening Times:
8.30am until dusk
Parking:
Compacted gravel car park available down sloping access road in centre of site. Main car parking at top of slope. Overhead barrier at entrance makes access difficult for high vehicles.
Trails:
Flat compacted gravel trails around site and separate grass tracks.
NB: Horse riders have access to some of the surfaced forest roads so care should be taken.
Facilities:
Disabled toilets at main car park at top of slope; interpretation boards; Bird hide (accessible); fishing platforms available for disabled users.
Features of Interest:
Lakes, open grassland with variety of birdlife; mixed woodland.
