Morning

The National Memorial Arboretum at Alrewas has over 100 woodland gardens and sculptures dedicated to military or civilian organisations, events or conflicts creating a living tribute to those who lost their lives in the 20th Century. A silence is observed daily at 11am and remembrance services are held regularly in the chapel.

Meynell Ingram Arms at Hoar Cross boasts award-winning food in a beautiful rural setting. An excellent location for a spot of lunch!

Afternoon

An afternoon stroll through Jackson’s Bank near Newchurch in the ancient Needwood Forest will round the day off perfectly.
