A blast from the past.  A 19th Century blast furnace, canal and barge trips, craft village, country park and children's play area. Children's parties available.  Accredited Museum.


Description of Facilities

On site toilets, cafe (seating 30), gift shop, picnic area, site ranger/tour guide available (pre booking required). Activities include canal boat trips, woodland walks and guided museum tours.

Moira Canal Festival

Family friendly festival based round the banks of the restored Ashby Canal in the grounds of the historic Moira Furnace.

Boats, bands, historic renactments, childrens entertainment, bar, classic vehicles, morris dancing, craft and trade stalls, the annual Moira duck race! - and find out about what is happening on the Ashby Canal.


Ashby and Willesley Vintage Festival

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the first ever Ashby & Willesley Vintage Festival.

The 2016 Festival will once again be held at the fantastic Moira Furnace, Moira and promises to be even better!

Situated right in the Heart of the National Forest, this weekend festival is a great outing for all the family where you can step back in time and see: steam engines vintage tractors historical motor vehicles stationary engines miniature steam funfair and entertainments trade and craft stalls and much, much more!
