CONKERS, the award winning attraction at The Heart of the National Forest, a unique mix of indoor and outdoor experiences to keep you and your family engaged for hours.

At the Discovery Centre there are four discovery zones designed for children and adults of all ages, over 100 interactive exhibits, the Enchanted Forest Adventure Play areawith scary troll, bats and spiders, the interactive forest floor and thesimulated Tree Top Walk – a moving bridge through the skies.CONKERS also runs a number of activity programmes during the school holidays.

Enjoy the great outdoors and explore over 120 acres of the picturesque grounds at CONKERS including maturing woodland, lakes and gardens. There are 23 different outdoor activities including the 450 metre barefoot walk. Visitors can walk along sculpture trails or through a wonderful wildflower glade, try out the challenging eighteen stage assault course (for visitors aged 13 and over), climb to the top of the viewing platform for a treetop panorama or play in our tremendous ‘Playdale’ adventure playground. Jump on the train and take a ride between the Discovery and Waterside Centres. A great place for all the family!

There’s a fun packed programme of events from Santa’s Winter Wonderland through to live music in the coveredamphitheatreand Halloween and Firework Nights!

Education programmes linked to the National Curriculum - Learning Outside of the Classroom accredited.

Description of Facilities

On site toilets, restaurant/cafe (seating 120), licensed, conference/function facilities, all abilities trail, gift shop, picnic area, site ranger/tour guide available (pre booking required), interactive exhibits, assault course, bike hire, events, lakeside walks, train ride, adventure play area. Group activities include ranger programmes, tours, team building, orienteering and ice-breaker sessions.

Vikings of Middle England are probably more famous for their frighteningly realistic, exciting and entertaining battle displays, and these are usually used as a finale to day's events. The thunderous clash of steel as opposing forces meet, war cries, mingling with the screams of the dying, the visual effect is stunning.
