Old Woodlands Farm is a 10.1ha Tender Scheme winner from 1999 near Newtown Unthank. It forms a continuous block of woodland with neighbouring Tender Schemes and existing woodland at Martinshaw Wood. In addition to the planted native woodland, a 1ha area of open ground has been sown with a wildflower seed mix to create a meadow. An old field pond has also been reinstated to benefit dragonflies and wetland species.
Permissive footpaths and bridleways run through the site and create excellent links to the definitive network, enabling riders to create good off-road circuits to Ratby Woodlands and beyond.
