Commemorating the Centenary of the First World War, Battledress explores the impact of the 1914 - 18 War on Women's fashion. Drawn from the Museum's historic fashion collection the exhibition will contrast the elaborate and restricting fashions of the Edwardian period with the more practical styles that were created as a result of the War and the revolution in fashion that followed during the 1920s.
