The 10K (6.21 mile) scenic off-road route takes runners along the former railway, the Ashby Woulds Heritage Trail, to the young woodland of Donisthorpe Woodland Park. It follows part of the Ashby Canal, passing Moira Furnace to join the Conkers Circuit. Cutting through mature and young woodland planted as part of The National Forest, and skirting around Albert Village Lake, the climax is the fast downhill finish to Conkers Discovery Centre.
The 1-mile Fun Run uses trails within Conker's Discovery Centre and is open to children (and animal mascots) aged from 4 to 14 years old.
We would like to thank all prize sponsors: Conkers, Champneys Springs, Physio form and Running Form, Swadlincote Ski & Snowboard Centre and Mizuno as well as our partners South Derbyshire and North West Leicestershire District Councils and local running clubs Ivanhoe Runners, South Derbyshire Road Runners and Hermitage Harriers.
