National Brewery Centre

The 'Brewing Experience' at the NBC incorporates large elements of the original Bass Museum. Learn about the legendary Bass family and their role in the development of brewing. The museum also celebrates the social history of the development of brewing – the real life experiences and stories of the people who helped to build Burton’s world-renowned brewing reputation.

Tours start with a holographic- style presentation of the history of brewing, then our experienced guides take visitors through each step of the brewing process and explain the fascinating roles that the steam engines and vintage vehicles on show played in the development of the industry. The William Worthington micro-brewery brings the tour up to the present day – with the chance to sample some great local ales brewed on site!

Specialist guided group tours of the Centre and the modern Molson Coors Brewery next door are also available – and can be combined with superb Beer and Food Matching lunches or dinners

A great range of special events are also staged throughout the year.

The National Brewery Centre is also a unique location for corporate functions or weddings. The listed Victorian buildings provide an impressive setting for any event. The historic environment is perfectly complemented by the range of function rooms available, ranging from character suites for 50 up to our impressive 350 seated capacity marquee. Our experienced event organisers and catering team can deliver to the most exacting requirements.

Dr. Busker's Birthday Bash
14 November 2015
20:00 to 23:00

Dr Buskers Birthday Bash Saturday 14th November A great evening of musical entertainment with this popular local entertainer. Dr. Busker is often billed as The Last Victorian Pub Pianist. The original Victorian Pub Pianists would keep a steady stream of tunes and songs flowing, while the Pub Landlord kept a beer flowing in the pianist's direction. Dr. Busker is keen to continue the tradition and often plays in pubs and bars (enjoying free beer from the Landlord) with his wide repertoire of songs to suit all tastes, including a large number of his own songs, accompanied with great skill on piano-forte and squeezebox. In his top-hat and tails, squeezebox in hand, he represents a bygone age when fizzy lager and the motor-car were unheard of. Steam engines ruled the road, Real Ale ruled the inns, and Britannia ruled the waves. Dr. Busker is part of a movement which holds on to many of the artefacts and values of the past. A full bar and food will be available during the evening

Tickets just £6 per person. Show starts at 8pm.

Book now on-line at www.nationalbrewerycentre.co.uk or call 01283 532 880. Book early as this annual Birthday Bash is always very popular.
