FOREST FUN BY BUS with the National Forest Hopper

Come on-board The National Forest Hopper (Arriva route 9a) and visit top attractions including Snibston, Ashby de la Zouch Castle, Moira Furnace, CONKERS, Swadlincote Ski & Snowboard Centre, Sharpe's Pottery Museum, the National Brewery Centre and the open air pool at Hood Park Leisure Centre.

The hourly service runs from Leicester*, via Coalville, Ashby de la Zouch and Swadlincote, to Burton upon Trent.

As well as the major attractions, the 9a passes lovely walking and picnic spots including Groby Pool, the Conkers Circuit, Swadlincote Woodlands, the Trent Washlands and Albert Village Lake. Also en-route are Odeon and Cineworld cinemas; Hick's Lodge Cycle Centre; Ashby Museum, Burton Bridge Inn and the leisure centres in Swadlincote and Burton upon Trent.

Bus operator Arriva Midlands teamed up with Leicestershire County Council, National Forest Company and North West Leicestershire Promotions to launch reduced fares, vouchers for attractions and activity packs for children.

Download the leaflet detailing attractions, family fares, timetable, vouchers and distance from bus stops or visit the website www.nationalforestbybus.co.uk. Posters at the bus stops en-route will help you find the attractions when you alight and the leaflet tells you how far it is to walk.

There are some great vouchers in the leaflet including 2 for 1 offers at Ashby Museum, CONKERS, National Brewery Centre and Swadlincote Ski & Snowboard Centre. Three Queens Hotel, opposite Burton Bridge Inn, is offering ½ price lunchtime snacks, Snibston has 20% off a family ticket and every visitor taking a canal boat trip gets free entry to Moira Furnace Museum. Vouchers are valid when produced together with the bus ticket for that day.

*The bus is labelled 29a from Leicester to Coalville. Passengers do not have to change buses.
