TV personality and woodsman Rob Penn (BBC 4 'Tales from the Wild Wood') is coming to The National Forest to speak at the very first Friends of The National Forest event on Saturday 13 April.

2020VISION in The National Forest
The stunning 2020VISION street gallery exhibition has arrived in Swadlincote, after months of planning. It is a privilege to have worked with all our partners to bring it here. Swadlincote in South Derbyshire, part of The National Forest, is an inspired location for the English premiere of a major nature and wildlife photographic exhibition, and the locals are fascinated. As they walk through the centre of the town, shoppers and business people see The Delph Market Square transformed into a magnificent street gallery, packed with over 100 stunning images by some of the top wildlife and landscape photographers in the UK.

Burton College students display their work alongside top national photographers
Students from Burton & South Derbyshire College have been invited to stage an exhibition of their work in the new gallery at Sharpe's Pottery Museum in March. It will coincide with the arrival in Swadlincote of the 2020VISION roadshow, which features some of the finest wildlife and nature photographers in the country.

Cutting the cake to celebrate ten years of tree-mendous tourism

Course Records Smashed for Second Year at National Forest 10k
Both the men's and ladies' course records were smashed this weekend in the National Forest 10K that took place on Sunday 16 September on the trails around Conkers at the Heart of the National Forest.
