Branston - Jacksons Bank (outward journey) Long walk (22 mile circuit)

Walk Information (22 mile circuit)
The Walk
This 22 mile route passes through the Trent Valley and Needwood landscape zones, and includes old and new woodland, historic sites and new leisure developments. The importance of the Trent Valley as a transport and industrial corridor, with canal, railway, road and river can be seen, and is in sharp contrast to the pastoral landscape of Needwood with ancient woodlands and parklands, game coverts and rural villages.
Parking
Available at Branston Water Park off the A38 north; at Bass Millennium Wood near Tatenhill; at Jacksons Bank; in Alrewas; at Barton-under-Needwood village hall and at Barton Lakes.
Buses
Arriva Midlands 811 and 812 serve Branston, Barton-under-Needwood; Alrewas and Yoxall. 402 serves Newborough.
