Walk Information
The Walk
This 9 mile route takes you through some of the prettiest villages in the Mease Lowlands and links both Ancient Woodlands and new woodlands planted as part of the developing National Forest. Village greens, historic houses and distinctive church spires are all features of the route.
Parking
At Coton Wood on the edge of Cotonin-the-Elms (SK246148); Beehive Wood (SK257156); Foxley Wood (SK285165) and Grangewood Farm Forestry on Coalpit Lane (SK266143).
Buses
Arriva Midlands North 22 serves Coton-inthe-Elms and Linton; 25 serves Netherseal and Linton; and 27 serves Linton.

This leaflet can be used in conjunction with OS Explorer 245 (The National Forest) and Landranger number 128 (Derby and Burton upon Trent).
