Walk Information
The Walk
This 4 mile walk explores some of the older and more recent history of part of the Trent Valley. It passes mediaeval earthworks, the 18th century Trent and Mersey canal, 19th and 20th Century mineral workings and the 21st Century plantings of the National Memorial Arboretum, themselves commemorating recent history.
Parking
You can either start at the Crown Inn car park in Post Office Road in Alrewas (if wishing to park a car, please ask for permission from the licensee), or at the National Memorial Arboretum, off the A513.
Buses
Arriva 811 and 812 Burton upon Trent to Lichfield serve Alrewas.

This leaflet can be used in conjunction with OS Explorer 245 (The National Forest) and Landranger number 128 (Derby and Burton upon Trent).
