Programme Development Fund
for site improvements

Site improvement (access, conservation, orchards and hedgerows) and heritage, community and management projects can all be funded through our PDF Fund. Owners and managers of key strategic sites, organisations, charities, local authorities, companies or individuals within the Forest area can apply.
Grants are typically available up to a maximum of 50% of the costs. In exceptional circumstances, on sites owned in part or whole by the National Forest Company, additional grant aid beyond this 50% level may be available.
Grants are not available for core-funding expenses such as staff wages, rents or on-going maintenance costs.
Please note that only projects which directly benefit The National Forest are eligible for grant assistance.
