This is a crucial moment in the development of both the National Forest and the National Forest Company, with a new 25-Year Vision for the National Forest, a new Corporate Plan for the Company, and a renewed focus and purpose in light of the urgency of climate change. As the National Forest Company strives to deliver an ambitious program with government, business, partners, and communities, we are now looking for a new Chair.
This exciting role is varied, stimulating and hugely rewarding, knowing that you are contributing to one of the most innovative sustainability initiatives in the country. As an ambitious and dynamic organisation, they are seeking a highly credible and natural ambassador who is engaged to support their dedicated, professional and collaborative Trustee board.
Qualities required:
• Senior experience of Boards, leadership positions or the role of a chair
• Strategic thinking, creativity and innovation
• Sector networks and insight to support the organisation
• Commercial acumen and an entrepreneurial outlook
You will also have strong interpersonal skills and most importantly, share the values and passion for the National Forest.
The National Forest is actively seeking to bring more diversity of perspectives and experience to their Board and welcome applications from currently underrepresented groups in order to reflect the communities they support.
