Situated off M1 junction 22 is Hill Hole Quarry Nature Reserve. Come and see the range of access and environmental improvements, funded by Leicestershire County Council FLAG and Shire Grants and National Forest tree planting grants.
Created on the site of a former sewage works, Kelham Bridge Nature Reserve is dominated by the River Sence and its floodplain habitats. Open water and reedbeds attract wintering and migrant birds and an artificial sand martin nesting wall has been constructed alongside one of the pools.

This extensive site is the centerpiece of a national celebration by the Woodland Trust to mark the 2012 Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II.Over 300,000 native trees have been planted across the site, which features a lake, bird hide and trails.
