The Battlefield Line Railway

The Battlefield Line is a heritage railway owned and operated by the Shackerstone Railway Society. Steam and diesel trains operate between Shackerstone, Market Bosworth and Shenton Stations.

Trains operate on weekends and Bank Holidays between March and December, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays in July and August also Wednesdays in September.

Shackerstone is the main station with shop, tea room, museum and engineering workshops.

Market Bosworth Station is on the edge of the small market town of the same name. There is a large goods yard where most of the special events are held.

Shenton Station is close to the Battle of Bosworth visitor centre that tells the story of Richard III, the last King of England to die in battle.

Special events are held throughout the year including, Easter Bunny trains, Rails and Ales festival in July, Steam Gala and during December Santa Special Trains.
