Matt Robinson

Matt Robinson is a Senior Adviser to the Landscape Finance Lab and an Adviser to Social Finance UK. He has spent his career building leading impact-investing and development-finance institutions. Most recently, Matt spent nine years at British International Investment (BII), the UK’s development finance institution, where he held senior roles including Head of Strategy and Head of Private Capital Mobilisation.
Matt was a founding staff member of Big Society Capital, serving as Head of Strategy and Market Development and as a member of the Investment Committee, and helped create key market institutions including Access – the Foundation for Social Investment. Earlier, he worked in the UK Cabinet Office and No.10, leading the Social Investment team. He began his career as a development economist, including as an ODI Fellow in Malawi.
