Role: Trustee – (Chair, Finance, Audit & Risk Committee)
This is a ‘pro bono’ post and no salary is payable, but travel, training and other expenses reasonably incurred will be paid.
The National Forest Company is now seeking to appoint a new Trustee to bring enthusiasm, ideas and expertise to support the organisation’s development.
They will replace Mike Kapur who stands down at the end of December having completed two terms on the Board. We are looking for the successful candidate to steer the NFC on all aspects of finance and resources and chair our Finance, Audit & Risk Committee.
It will be essential to secure an individual of the right calibre, experience and outlook to drive our work in this area, support the Finance & Resources Team and join the Board as it oversees the challenges ahead. This role would suit a strategic finance professional and qualified accountant, whether an executive looking for a development opportunity, an experienced non-executive director, or an individual pursuing a portfolio career.

The successful candidate will be invited to observe a Board meeting in December 2025 and attend their first Land and Forestry Working Group, followed by a Board meeting, in early 2026.
