    Accessibility

Wild Minds offers a Woodlands Elders programme aimed at people who are currently unable to get out into the wild, to improve the mental health and wellbeing through mindful movement, multi-sensory explorations of nature with crafts, and strength and balance retraining.

Summary

Wild Minds aims to connect local communities through nature, with an emphasis on relaxation and fun. Based within the National Forest at Moira Furnace, Wild Minds is a community interest company seeking to make nature more accessible and improve people’s physical and mental wellbeing.

In an age where technology is at the forefront of everyone’s life, people need to find the time to connect with nature and experience the benefits of exploring the adventures the natural world has to offer. Take some time to immerse yourselves in nature and let Wild Minds be your guide.

On offer are a range of different workshops and experiences, aimed at different audiences, including those simply seeking calming mindfulness moments in the woods, school groups and businesses on team away days. Experiences include forest bathing, tai chi, meditation and nature walks. Families can take part in a wild woodland family adventure, undertaking a series of activities while learning more about plants, animals and their habitats.
