Dedicate a Grove
Individuals and families can contribute to the National Forest by donating to support the planting of a complete woodland grove. Groves are groups of trees separate from the main woodland, designed to create an open woodland landscape. Our Groves vary in size, from 200 to 600+ trees.
Leaving a Legacy
Dedicating a grove in your name or in the name of a loved one will mean you are helping to secure a long term future for the Forest for everyone. Helping to make a landscape rich in wildlife, and providing new footpaths and woodlands to explore and enjoy. Your grove is a positive contribution to the environment.
Recognising your Grove
Should you wish to, you can choose to place a discrete brass plaque with your dedication on site. Options for different plaque content are available.
Permanency of your dedication
A grove dedication in the National Forest remains active for 25 years. During this time your support will enable the new trees to have time to fully establish and grow into mature woodland. All of our woodlands are planted with sustainability in mind, ensuring that we are creating a Forest that can be enjoyed for many years to come. We ensure that we plant mixed species woodlands; tailoring species to the soil types, topography and landscape surrounding each site.
We ask for donations of £3,000 to £9,000+, depending on the number of trees you would like to dedicate.
Unfortunately, we are not able to accept any requests from businesses to dedicate groves. If you are a business looking for ways to support the National Forest please take a look at our Business Partner pages and get in touch to discuss how you can become part of our Mycelium Network – the enterprise ecosystem of the National Forest.
I am proud to be naming a grove in memory of my father and my family. I was born in Coalville and remember the area as a coalfield – so different to the green landscape I see now when I am walking the National Forest Way.
