Barton Lakes/Demo Wood

A new development of lakes created around a demonstration woodland near Barton-under-Needwood.

The two lakes provide the focus for the site with a new canal marina adjacent. Surfaced paths take visitors around the lakes and grassy paths wind through the demonstration woodland, where different planting techniques can be seen. The site is particularly stunning in spring when hundreds of daffodils around the lake come into full bloom.
