Role: Midlands Forest Network Project Co-ordinator

Grade: Executive Officer. Salary – £25,915 to £27,116 part-time (26 hours per week) for a fixed term of two years. Civil Service Pension Scheme plus employee benefits (Flexible working)

Now, more than ever, the Midlands needs a landscape rich in woods, trees, and other habitats. Building on the National Forest model, the Midlands Forest Network aspires to link existing forests and initiatives to create an ambitious new network of woodlands and wildlife habitats across the region.

A partnership of the Midlands Engine, National Forest Company, and Woodland Trust, supported by funding from Defra and the National Lottery Heritage Fund, is undertaking a two-year project to develop the Midlands Forest Network concept. To do this, the partnership will engage a diverse range of stakeholders, communities, and audiences.

We are seeking a well-organised and efficient individual to support the Midlands Forest Network Project Manager by providing effective administration of the developing strategic framework for the Network.

You will administer meetings and events, prepare and manage Midland Forest Network financial budgets and communicate the project to a wide range of audiences.  Attention to detail, organisation and diligence will be a priority to ensure the Midlands Forest Network develops as a collaborative and professional initiative.

You will bring the experience of administering complex projects, together with the financial and communication skills to coordinate a diverse programme of work.  Above all, you will have a passion for woodland and the benefits it can bring to people and wildlife. If you feel excited by the prospect of delivering change across the whole Midlands Region, we would love to hear from you.
