Walking together for a better future.

Join us for a truly transformational journey. The National Forest Trek is a fully supported and unique 75-mile challenge walk, across three days, along the National Forest Way right here in the Midlands – so you don’t have to travel far to have a real adventure! Hundreds of woodlands have been created for people to enjoy, near to where they live, here in the National Forest over the last three decades.

Created in partnership between the Defence Rehabilitation Centre Benevolent Fund (based at Stamford Hall near the start), the National Forest (where the route passes through), and the National Memorial Arboretum (where the Trek ends), this event is all about building hope for the future, by highlighting the importance of woods and trees for our physical and mental wellbeing and showing what is possible when you bring people together to support each other.

You can choose to raise funds for the three charity partners to help support their work of remembrance, renewal and transformation, symbolised by the challenge walk going through the transformed landscape of the National Forest, or you can choose you raise funds for another charity that is close to your heart. Either way, all participants are invited to walk together for a better future.

The National Forest Trek will take place 9th – 11th of September in 2022, visit the website to register your interest.

Don’t fancy the whole 75-mile walk over three days? Why not join us for the two-day or one-day trek instead? Or if a walking challenge isn’t your thing, you’re welcome to just join trekkers along the route to provide motivation and support.
